FRANCE - JALANKAYU SINGAPURAS
The prefix Jalankayu was adopted by me in 2000 shortly after obtaining my first Singapura. I had previously, and continue to use the prefix, SamSam for Siamese and Burmese which I have been breeding since 1977 in England and for a few years in Scotland too. Now we live in rural South West France with 7 adult Singapuras, a couple of juveniles we hope to keep and run on as replacements in due course for our two own bred, Grand Champion Singapuras. We Also brought three of our trusty Burmese to France and have recently imported a new Burmese male. The GCCF have advised that we can still register with them any kittens born from cats already owned by us and registered with them. So importing a kitten from France is not out of the question and the French have now fully adopted microchips and abandoned tattoos thus easing showing problems. All kittens for export have to be vaccinated against Rabies and blood tested so kittens, particularly Singapuras, tend to be well over the 13 week minimum and thus can more easily show their breeding potential. We have an excellent English vet here and good connections with an animal courier service.
